Observers for a non-Lipschitz triangular form
We address the problem of designing an observer for triangular non locally Lipschitz dynamical systems. We show the convergence with an arbitrary small error of the classical high gain observer in presence of nonlinearities verifying some Hölder-like condition. Also, for the case when this Hölder condition is not verified, we propose a novel cascaded high gain observer. Under slightly more rest...
متن کاملNonlinear observers for autonomous Lipschitz continuous systems
This paper considers the state observation problem for autonomous nonlinear systems. An observation mapping is introduced, which is defined by applying a linear integral operator (rather than a differential operator) to the output of the system. It is shown that this observation mapping is well suited to capture the observability nature of smooth as well as nonsmooth systems, and to construct o...
متن کاملGlobal Finite-time Observers for a Class of Non-Lipschitz Systems ⋆
Global finite-time observers are designed for a class of nonlinear systems that are uniformly observable and possibly non-Lipschitz. The non-Lipschitz conditions under which global finite-time observers exist are in terms of bounds of the varying rational powers of the increments of the non-Lipschitz nonlinearities. These are the same conditions under which semi-global finite-time observers wer...
متن کاملSemi-global Finite-time Observers for a Class of Non-lipschitz Systems
Recently, the research on finite-time observers for nonlinear systems has made great progress [1, 2, 3]. However, some of these observers are not continuous such as sliding mode observers. The continuity property and its importance in finite-time stability are realized in [4, 5]. It is also interesting to point out that continuous observers are realized to be different and unique in the nonline...
متن کاملk-Lipschitz strict triangular norms
This paper deals with Lipschitzian t-norms. A partial answer to an open problem of Alsina, Frank and Schweizer is given with regard to strict t-norms with smooth additive generators. A new notion of local Lipschitzianity for arbitrary tnorms is introduced. Some remarkable examples of non-Lipschitzian continuous triangular norms are provided.
